Day 17 June 3rd Tillamook cheese factory, Cape Meares Loop, Octopus tree, Oregon Cost Aquarium, Marine Science Center. to Port of Newport

It's raining heavily today.

Today we started at the Tillamook Creamery, and learned how cheese is made and packaged. The type of course ends up at the giftshop. The view on the front of the store is named Flower. We indulged in the store and cafe, with cheese curds and ice cream.

Then to Symons view point

The Cape Meares loop was a bust and we continued on. The road was blocked. We went back the other way, but could not find the hike to the octopus tree. It isn't raining any more.

We made our way to Newport and went to the Hatfield Marine Science Museum run by Oregon State U. It's a lot of hands-on exhibits that were really fun to play with.

Paul got to try to navigate a boat out of the harbor. He'll stick to what he knows best. He crashed the boat....

Then off to the Rogue Brewery

This is the bridge we crossed to get to Newport

And it's raining again. We didn't make it to the aquarium today, maybe tomorrow.
